This is My Story

Thank you for your time in learning more about me! I look forward to the opportunity to meet you and be a part of your special wedding moment. I grew up in rural, northwest Pennsylvania living in the home my parents built situated on thirty acres of wooded land. Although I now consider DC my home, I visit my home (family) often, not only because of good home-cooked meals, but the rejuvenating fresh air and blissful sounds of nature.

My parents owned and operated a
greenhouse and landscaping business.

Although it was a home based business, they made sure to maintain a very balanced home-work lifestyle. However, my mom, Judy, encouraged me and my siblings, Jeremy and Sequoia, participation in the business from the onset for which I am most grateful. As early as I can remember I was assisting customers and developing lasting friendships.

I attribute most of my successes in life to my mom. Her warm, loving personality shines through in all of her children and her unwavering support in all of my endeavors it is a true testament to my success today.

A glimpse of my endeavors include: raising a market swine for 4-H, participating in volunteer and extracurricular activities in my communities, riding horses and ATVs through wooded trails, graduating from American University in Washington, DC with a Bachelors in Law and Society and a Masters in Public Administration, circling the world on a ship visiting 13 countries, perusing my passion for politics, working on Capitol Hill, becoming a lobbyist for medical schools and teaching hospitals, launching my own wedding officiating and planning business, managing a luxury retail boutique!

I am extremely blessed to have been afforded the opportunity to grow up in such a warm and accepting community of family and friends.

I have been living in DC for over ten years…

…and truly adore the city and everything it has to offer. It was in 2010 when I embarked on my wedding officiating journey! Friends from American University, John and Nealey, asked me to officiate their wedding. I gleefully accepted their offer and was extremely humbled by their trust. I carry this moment with me every time I meet with a new couple and am asked to be a part of their special wedding moment! The union of two people in love is such a unique moment in which happy, positive energy encompasses the group and I am reminded how wonderful and blessed I am to be on this path of promoting endless love one couple at a time!

Although my professional experience…

…thus far has been politically charged, I have found it very easy to equate my political experience with my officiating and planning business. I have a true passion for meeting new people and developing relationships, which is a key component of being successful in politics and in the wedding business. A large portion of this job is listening—listening to what the couple’s history is, their likes and dislikes and what they want their future to be. However, I must admit the wedding officiating and planning business has proven to be much more gratifying and is always sure to be a happy, blissful moment!

I look forward to being a part of your journey…

…of love when you Tie The Knot. Thank you in advance for your consideration and please feel free to contact me directly with any questions or concerns you may have!
